This stunning, newly built custom home is situated on Seventh Avenue in the heart of New Westminster. As the designer for this project, I had the privilege of being involved from the pre-construction phase, allowing us ample time to collaborate on the design and make informed decisions.

To begin, I worked with the client to create a design concept based on their wish list. The resulting home is a perfect blend of traditional farmhouse charm and modern finishes. Upon entering the kitchen/family room, guests are greeted by stunning oil rubbed bronze pendants suspended over the spacious island, creating a show-stopping focal point. The backsplash is a timeless mini subway tile in white, and the medium-toned wood floors throughout create a cozy, grounded atmosphere. All of the walls in the home were painted a soft, warm white to keep the home feeling light and bright.

In the powder room off the kitchen, I had the opportunity to have some fun and create a space that the clients would love to show their friends and family. I added vertical shiplap and beautiful grass cloth wallpaper, which tied into the custom vanity. The plumbing fixtures feature cross handles in an oil rubbed finish, giving the space a timeless feel.

Overall, the home’s design strikes a harmonious balance between the timeless charm of traditional farmhouse aesthetics and the sleek, modern finishes of contemporary design.
