This project was a rewarding opportunity to transform a charming early 1900s home for a wonderful family. The main floor, with its original flooring, exuded character and warmth, so we worked with a skilled flooring company to add new flooring in the kitchen that perfectly matched the existing hardwood throughout the home. This ensured the space felt cohesive, preserving the historical charm while adding fresh updates.
The kitchen, previously small and cramped, was completely reimagined to maximize both space and functionality. By rearranging the layout, we were able to add more counter space, additional storage, and introduce a beautiful new island that became the heart of the kitchen. The extended island now provides ample room for food prep as well as space for stools, making it perfect for casual meals or entertaining guests.
To further enhance the flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces, we replaced the previous French doors with one large patio door that opens up to the client’s stunning porch, creating an inviting connection to the outdoors that’s ideal for summer living.
In the dining area, we designed a built-in kitchen nook that seamlessly integrates into the space, providing a cozy and charming spot for the family to gather. The nook looks like it has always been part of the home, adding comfort and character to the kitchen’s aesthetic.
We also gave the powder room a fresh update, with a new coat of paint, updated tiles, and carefully selected plumbing fixtures and bathroom accessories. A new mirror completed the look, making this small space feel both chic and functional.
The full bathroom was another area we revamped, bringing it up to date with a fresh, clean design. We installed new tile flooring and updated the tub area with beautiful new tiles. New plumbing fixtures, bathroom accessories, and beadboard wall trim added a touch of character to the space, giving it both elegance and charm. A new larger mirror and vanity not only modernized the room but also enhanced its functionality.
